EUPHORSIA: BECOME HUMAN
EUPHORSIA: BECOME HUMAN is an immersive exploration of humanity, choice, and transcendence inspired by the butterfly effect and the complexities of self-discovery. This installation is the prologue to my original character Akari's journey—humanoid learning to navigate the weight of human decisions and emotions. The piece is shaped by my experiences with visual novels, a medium I grew up with and taught me to understand relationships and dynamics through its interactive, multi-outcome structure.

Incorporating stylistic elements of visual novels, such as text boxes and (predetermined) options, the work invites the audience to grapple with the same choices Akari faces. What does it mean to be human? Through this, I aim to transport viewers into a realm that blurs the lines between game and reality, much like the protagonist Akari, whose humanity is explored through the choices she makes.

The installation's narrative and conceptual foundations reflect the themes of the butterfly effect and transcendence. By incorporating Kendrick Lamar's poetic reflections on humanity and choice in Mortal Man, I've applied the lessons I've learned—particularly around embracing uncertainty, letting go of perfection, and allowing change to happen naturally. This piece has become an exercise in my personal growth, challenging my instincts to overthink and perfect every decision by encouraging a more fluid, less controlled approach to creation and life.

Through EUPHORSIA: BECOME HUMAN, I invite viewers to embrace the unpredictability of their choices and the process of 'becoming'—whatever that may look like...
